Divorce with Dignity for Individuals

A supportive approach to navigating separation independently:

Divorce with Dignity for Individuals is for people who want support through separation and space to think clearly about how they want to move forward.

This work focuses on how you experience the separation and how you relate to your former partner during it, particularly at times of stress, disagreement, or uncertainty. It supports you to navigate divorce with greater clarity and self-respect, whatever the circumstances.

Why does this time feel so hard?

Divorce places emotional, practical, and relational demands on you all at once.

Alongside the legal process, many people are dealing with loss of identity, grief, anger, or a sense of injustice, while also managing parenting responsibilities, financial concerns, work pressures, and ongoing contact with someone they’re separating from. Communication can become strained, and familiar patterns often surface at a time when clear thinking matters most.

What this approach supports:

This work isn’t about analysing the past or deciding who was right or wrong. It’s about supporting you in the present, so you can respond rather than react, and make choices from a clearer, steadier place.

Through our work together, you’ll be able to:

  • communicate more thoughtfully around difficult topics

  • reduce reactivity and emotional stalemates

  • work through practical decisions with greater clarity and less conflict

  • navigate co-parenting challenges where relevant

  • retain a sense of identity during a time of major change

  • let go of what no longer serves you

For many people, this creates a sense of completion, allowing them to move forward without carrying unresolved pain or emotional weight into the next chapter of their lives.

How we work together:

We begin with an initial session focused entirely on you; your situation, your concerns, and what feels most pressing right now.

Ongoing sessions provide a structured, supportive space to explore how you’re responding to what’s happening, to practise new ways of relating and communicating, and to regain a sense of agency during a time that can otherwise feel destabilising.

This work is practical, grounded, and paced to suit you.

A note about my approach:

I bring over 25 years’ experience as a relationship and couples coach, with training in mediation, Imago, attachment-based work, and nervous-system-informed practice. My background in mediation means I’m experienced in supporting people through emotionally charged situations with balance, clarity, and fairness.

Most importantly, I don’t see people going through divorce as broken. I see individuals navigating a significant transition who benefit from understanding, structure, and support at a time when a great deal is changing.
